Citrix Health Check Service

The BSG Citrix Health Check Service is a 3-day, fixed cost and fixed scope engagement. The objective of the Citrix Health Check Service is to evaluate your existing Citrix infrastructure against current Citrix best practices, delivering recommendations for performance improvements and provide justification for migrating to Citrix Access Suite 4.0.

How does BSG's Citrix Health Check Service work?

Many organisations that have deployed Citrix are simply not maximising the benefits that can be gained from the solution - ultimately meaning they are not getting the full benefit from their installation.

BSG provide highly skilled and experienced Citrix consultants to run Health Checks on your implementation to make them more efficient and to ensure the configurations maximise the benefits that Citrix technology provides. BSG's Citrix consultants will look at Server Performance, Software configuration and the overall LAN/WAN infrastructure of the Citrix environment to determine overall performance and functionality.

Citrix Scoping Service

The BSG Citrix Scoping Service is a 3-day, fixed cost and fixed scope engagement. The objective of the Citrix Scoping Service is to investigate your organisation's current environment and business requirements in terms of access to applications.

How does BSG's Citrix Scoping Service work?

With new Citrix deployments, BSG begin with an Infrastructure Assessment (IA). This is a structured process, part of the Citrix Consulting Methodologies, which evaluates the suitability of your organisation's environment for the successful deployment and use of Citrix solutions. This typically involves qualifying your organisation's current infrastructure and requirements against established best practice and design principles. The IA concludes with a written report and presentation to your organisation covering the key findings of the exercise across twelve critical technology areas, such as Application and Data Consolidation, Mobility, Application Security, Business Continuity, Application and Systems Management.


Citrix Proof of Concept Service

The BSG Citrix Proof of Concept Service is charged on a "time and materials" basis. The objective of the Citrix Proof of Concept Service is to trial a proposed solution by delivering a lab based test environment.

  • Engineering and Consulting Services to prove a Citrix Solution suitable for your organisation.

How does BSG's Proof of Concept Service work?

The Proof of Concept Service (PoC) provides a small deployment suitable for initial validation and demonstration purposes, typically delivering applications which are critical to a project or business activity. This is particularly suitable for organisations with bespoke applications and specific environments requiring thorough Citrix testing to de-risk a Citrix project.

To minimise the cost of the Proof of Concept environment, it will typically consist of two load balanced servers and the delivery of a limited set of manually installed applications.


Citrix Design Service

The BSG Citrix Design Service is a fixed cost and fixed scope service. The objective of the Citrix Design Service is to provide a comprehensive design for a proposed Citrix environment using industry best practices.

How does BSG's Citrix Design Service work?

The Design phase of a project creates a detailed Architecture Design document, which is used to plan and commission the subsequent Build & Test of the Citrix environment. At this stage the full production application suite, design and overall solution is subjected to extensive testing to prove suitability for your organisation's production deployment.

The strategic Citrix Design & Build is based on a detailed project plan, with critical elements including:

Citrix Deployment Service

The BSG Citrix Deployment Service is executed and charged on a project-managed basis. The objective of the Citrix Deployment Service is to provide engineering and consulting services to deploy the infrastructure and Citrix software for the proposed Design.

An example of the deliverable associated with a Citrix Deployment Service is:

  • Engineering and consulting services to deploy server and security infrastructure based on a proposed design.

How does the BSG Citrix Deployment Service work?

The deployment phase uses BSG internal Citrix Accredited consultants and engineers to deploy the solution. The deployment phase initially enters a pilot phase which provides a way of fine tuning the rollout and minimises end user impact of a new Citrix environment. The pilot also provides both a method of user acceptance testing (UAT) and reduces the time for full scale deployment.

Post Pilot phase and successful UAT, full scale deployment can begin. Once deployment has been completed, the consulting project leader and engineering resource will be available for floor walking, to ensure the users are supported following deployment.


Citrix TCO and ROI Service

The BSG Citrix TCO and ROI Service is a 5-day, fixed cost and fixed scope engagement. The objective of the Citrix TCO and ROI Service is to justify the business need to move towards a Citrix Environment.

An example of the deliverable associated with a Citrix TCO and ROI Service is:

  • Documentation detailing the business impact and cost justification for moving to a Citrix Solution
  • How does BSG's Citrix TCO and ROI Service work?

    The Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Return on Investment (ROI) Service provides financial analysis of deploying the Citrix Access Suite. This service provides a document and presents at board level the ROI and TCO analysis for moving to a centralised Application Access solution.

    The service analyses the current environment and compares it with a proposed Citrix Solution, comparing variables such as:

    • Application Management Costs
    • Application Delivery Costs
    • Infrastructure Management Costs
    • Data Management Costs

    The document also looks at ways a Citrix solution can enhance a your organisationsenvironment by adding functionality such as:

    • Mobility and Secure Application Access Scenarios
